Mitchell's Maiden Voyage Gone Wrong
Alright, so here’s the deal. Mitchell’s been totally obsessed with this jetpack thing lately, right? And you know me — I’m all about feeding that fire. Except, uh, it kinda got outta hand today. We’re in the garage, I’m hooking this duct tape masterpiece together, feeling like I’m some kinda rocket scientist or whatever. Mitchell’s sitting there, grinning ear to ear, all fired up like he’s about to launch into orbit. I use, like, half a roll of duct tape to strap him to this old desk chair (don’t even ask), and another roll to make sure the jetpack is locked onto his back tighter than my dad’s wallet on pizza night.
We’re both hyped. I tell him, “Alright buddy, we’re counting down now — you ready for this?” And he’s all “Yeah, daddy! Yeah!” like the little legend he is. I’m feeling like Superman, and we hit the countdown. 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... Zero hits, and instead of blasting off into greatness, Mitchell just goes boom in an entirely different way. Yep. Fresh Pampers? Not so fresh anymore. Dude just absolutely unloaded right there. It was like his body decided, “Nah, the only launch happening today is this one.”
We’re both sitting there — me frozen in shock, Mitchell just looking at me like, “What happened, bruh?” — and I’m thinking, well, that escalated quickly. Legit, this'll go down as one of our most epic fails. Still, 10 outta 10 for effort, zero for altitude.
Part Two: Next day, just when I thought it couldn’t get any crazier, Mitchell one-ups himself. There he is, strapped into his jetpack again, ready for redemption, and I’m giving him the whole motivational pep talk like, “You got this, dude. Focus.” Everything’s looking good—he seems calm, determined... but then, mid-countdown, Mitchell starts making this face. Not just any face—a scrunched-up, wide-eyed masterpiece that says, just wait for it. And sure enough, by the time I hit “3,” mission control is already compromised.
Mitchell unleashes again, right there in his Pampers, all while holding this ridiculous grin like it was part of the plan. Like, what even is this kid? I’m trying to be serious, trying to process the chaos, and he’s just vibing like, “Yeah, bro, I did that. What’s up?” Needless to say, we’re going nowhere fast—but hey, at least Mitchell’s got comedic timing. 10 outta 10 face game, still zero for altitude.
