Magical Christmas Tree Day with Mitchell
Hi! My name is Lucas, and I’m almost 6 years old. I want to tell you a special story about how I would decorate the Christmas tree with a boy named Mitchell. I’ve heard a lot about Mitchell, and I think it would be so much fun to do the tree with him one day.
My dad told me that we don’t like fake trees because real trees smell better and make Christmas feel more magical. So, one chilly morning, our real Christmas tree got delivered right to our front door. It was huge and green and smelled like the forest outside. Mitchell and I imagined carrying it inside carefully together, making sure not to drop it or scratch the walls.
Once the tree was standing tall in the living room, we started decorating it. We wrapped colorful lights all around the branches, making them twinkle like stars. Then, we hung shiny ornaments—red, gold, and silver—that sparkled in the light. While we worked, we took little breaks to eat cookies and drink milk. My favorite part was when we ate warm, cheesy mac and cheese for dinner. We laughed a lot and talked about all the fun things we wanted to do for Christmas.
At the very end, we put a big, bright star on top of the tree. Mitchell said the star helps guide Santa’s sleigh right to our house. After we finished, we stepped back and smiled because the tree looked so beautiful and ready for Christmas.
I hope one day I can really meet Mitchell and decorate the tree with him for real. That would be the best Christmas ever!
