Caleb’s “Not-So-Tree-Mendous” Christmas Story

Hi! My name is Caleb. You know, like Caleb from the Playtime movie! I’m 6 years old, and I want to tell you a little about Christmas.

I don’t really like putting together Christmas trees. It’s kind of tricky and takes a long time, so usually, my dad does it for me. I just watch and maybe help a little bit, but mostly I leave it to him because he’s really good at it.

For Christmas this year, I want some really cool stuff! I’m hoping for a new skateboard, some video games, and maybe a big box of LEGO bricks so I can build all kinds of fun things. I made a Christmas list, but here’s a secret—it’s not my real list. It’s just a sample list that I made to practice. I want to share my actual list with Mitchell someday because I think he’d like to know what I really want. Maybe we could even swap lists and help each other pick out the best gifts!

One of the best parts of Christmas is the food. After my dad finishes putting up the tree, we always have a big celebration. This year, I imagined that Mitchell and I would eat a giant cake together. It was so big that it almost didn’t fit on the table! The cake was covered in colorful frosting and sprinkles, and it tasted super sweet and yummy. We laughed and ate slice after slice while talking about all the fun things we wanted to do on Christmas morning.

So, that’s my story. I hope you liked it, and remember: if you don’t like putting up the tree, just ask your dad like me! And don’t forget to save some cake for Santa too!
