Frank's New Role
At Shepherd's Daycare, change was in the air as Frank, Mitchell's beloved counselor, was promoted to assistant manager. Frank had always been a favorite among the children, known for his warm smile and playful spirit. His dedication to nurturing the kids and creating a positive environment made him the perfect fit for the new role.
One sunny morning, as the children settled into their activities, Frank gathered everyone for a special announcement. “Hey, everyone! I have some exciting news!” he called out, capturing the attention of the little ones. “I’m now the assistant manager here at Shepherd's Daycare, and I want to make sure we have even more fun together!”
The children cheered, and Mitchell’s eyes sparkled with joy. He loved Frank and was thrilled to hear about his new position. Frank continued, “To celebrate, I’m introducing something special for all of you—an additional nap time!”
The room erupted with mixed reactions. Some children giggled with excitement, while others looked puzzled. Mitchell, however, was all for it. He loved nap time, especially when it meant snuggling up with his favorite blanket and stuffed animal.
“Why do we get an extra nap time, Frank?” Mitchell asked, his curiosity piqued.
Frank knelt down to Mitchell’s level, smiling warmly. “Well, I know how important rest is for you all. It helps you grow strong and gives you energy for more fun activities. Plus, I want to make sure you have enough time to recharge so we can play even more after nap time!”
Mitchell nodded, understanding the importance of rest. “Can we read stories during nap time?” he asked eagerly.
“Absolutely! We can have story time before everyone settles down,” Frank replied, his enthusiasm contagious. “I’ll even bring some of your favorite books!”
As the day progressed, Frank implemented the new nap time schedule, ensuring that each child had a cozy spot to rest. When the time came, he gathered the children for story time, reading aloud with animated voices that brought the characters to life. Mitchell listened intently, his eyelids growing heavier with each page turned.
After the stories, the children snuggled into their blankets, and Frank softly dimmed the lights. As Mitchell drifted off to sleep, he felt grateful for Frank’s thoughtful addition to their day. The extra nap time was a wonderful change, and he knew that with Frank as assistant manager, every day at Shepherd's Daycare would be filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of adventures.
