Matthew's Letter to Mitchell

Dear Mitchell

I miss you so much! It feels like forever since you were here in Oregon, running around and making me laugh. Every day, I look at the pictures we took together and remember all the fun times we had.

Remember how we used to play with your favorite dinosaur toys? Or how we would build the tallest block towers and then knock them down? Those moments were the best part of my day.

The house feels so quiet without your little footsteps and your big laugh. I keep your favorite blanket folded on the couch, waiting for you to come back. I can’t wait to see you again, to hear all about your adventures at daycare, and to give you the biggest hug.

Your mom tells me you’re learning so many new things. I bet you’re getting so big and smart! I want to hear all about the new games you’re playing, the friends you’re making, and the cool things you’re learning.

I promise we’ll have the most amazing time when you come back to Oregon. We’ll play, we’ll laugh, and we’ll make more wonderful memories.
