Treehouse: We're Just Kids Doing Our Thing
Quick Note About the Comparisons
Okay, so apparently people have been comparing our Treehouse series to Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul—you know, that massive book series by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen that's been around forever. For anyone who doesn't know, Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul is basically this collection of inspirational short stories and personal essays that's supposed to warm your heart and make you feel good about life. They've got like a million different editions for every possible situation—teens, parents, pet lovers, you name it.
And honestly? We're incredibly grateful for the comparison. Like, seriously. That's huge.
But I also want to be super clear about something: our Treehouse series is completely independent of Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul. We're not affiliated with them, we're not trying to copy them, and we're definitely not claiming to be the next version of what they built. We're just a bunch of kids having fun, writing about our lives, and trying to figure things out as we go.
The Treehouse series started because we wanted a space to be real—to talk about the weird, uncomfortable, funny, and sometimes profound stuff that happens when you're eighteen and trying to navigate community college, part-time jobs, cramped apartments, and city buses with wedgies. We're not trying to inspire anyone or change the world. We're just sharing our experiences and hoping maybe someone out there relates.
So yeah, if our stuff reminds you of Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul, that's awesome. We'll take it as a compliment. But we're doing our own thing over here—no corporate backing, no big publishing deal, just us and our stories.
Thanks for reading.
Thanks for the kind words. And thanks for letting us be exactly who we are.
Sincerely,
Just another guy on the bus
