Treehouse: How One Friend’s Suggestion Led to a Surprising Twist in a Group’s Inside Joke

Alright, so I’m not gonna say I’m not a bully—because, let’s be real, I kinda am. But it’s all in good fun… mostly. So the other day, me and the crew were just hanging out, talking about this kid in our class who’s got this massive ego, like he’s the king of campus or something. You know the type—walks around like he owns the place, acting like he’s gonna be the next big shot.

Anyway, one of my buddies actually said he thought it was a good idea to get this dude working some entry-level gig at a department store. Like, seriously, folding shirts or running the register. The idea was that it’d totally bust his bubble and maybe even get him to drop out of college.

Harsh?
Yeah.
Funny?
Definitely.

But here’s the kicker—none of us really thought about how messed up that sounded, especially considering the guy’s got his own struggles. Suggesting he work retail wasn’t just a joke—it was kinda offensive given his situation. That got me thinking.

So me and the guys decided to switch things up. Instead of messing with the big ego kid, we’re switching him out with our friend—the same one who said he thought it was a good idea to put the big ego kid in a department store job.

We wanna see how this plays out, put the spotlight on him for a bit, and just watch the chaos unfold.

Honestly, I’m curious to see if he can handle it or if we’ll have to bail him out halfway through.

Either way, it’s gonna be one hell of a ride.

Because at the end of the day, it’s all about the laughs and the stories we’ll tell later—just gotta keep it real and know where the line is.

Sincerely,
speaking my mind, no filter.
