Treehouse: After Weeks of Observation
Hey man,
I’ve been meaning to write this for a while now, and I think it’s time I finally put my thoughts down. You know, we’ve been going to school together for a bit, and I can’t help but notice some things about you lately. Like, I see you in class with your head down, rushing through tests, and then there’s that hoodie you always wear. It’s like you’re in your own world, fast asleep while the rest of us are trying to keep up.
But then I check out your social media, and it’s a whole different story. You’ve got this following that seems to grow by the day, and I can’t shake the feeling that something’s off. I mean, I’ve been lowkey fixating on it for weeks now. Your videos have this charm, sure, but there’s also that lisp that just feels a little suspect. It’s like, is this all real, or did you buy your way into this popularity?
I’ve thought about sliding into your DMs to let you know how I really feel. You deserve to know the truth, right? I mean, I’ve got some stuff I’ve been meaning to tell you, but I haven’t had the guts to say it face-to-face. Maybe it’s time to come clean and see how you really feel about all this.
So, here’s the plan: I’m thinking about sending you a message that’s a bit cocky, maybe even arrogant. Something like, “Hey man, what’s up with all the hype? You know it looks a little bought, right?” And then I’ll just put my phone away and take a nap, because honestly, I’m curious how you’ll respond.
What do you think? How do you think you’d react if I hit you up like that?
Catch you later.
