Kyle Prepares Mitchell’s Bottles for Daycare

It was a chilly evening, and Kyle was bustling around the kitchen, preparing for the next day at Shepherd’s Daycare. His two-year-old nephew, Mitchell, was staying with him for the night, and Kyle wanted to ensure everything was ready for their busy morning. As he gathered the supplies, he felt a sense of responsibility and love for the little boy who brought so much joy into his life.

Kyle pulled out the bottles from the cupboard, each one clean and ready to be filled. He carefully measured out the milk, pouring it into each bottle with precision. “One for breakfast, one for snack time, and one for lunch,” he muttered to himself, counting as he went. He knew how much Mitchell loved his milk, especially when it was served in his favorite blue bottle with the cartoon animals on it.

As he filled the last bottle, Kyle glanced at the clock on the wall. It was getting late, and he still had to pack Mitchell’s bag for daycare. He felt a twinge of fatigue but pushed it aside. “Just a little longer,” he thought, determined to get everything done before bedtime.

Once the bottles were filled and capped, Kyle placed them in the refrigerator, making sure they were easily accessible for the morning. He then turned his attention to Mitchell’s daycare bag, carefully selecting a few toys, a change of clothes, and a small blanket for naptime. As he packed, he couldn’t help but smile at the thought of Mitchell’s excitement when he arrived at daycare.

After finishing the bag, Kyle finally allowed himself to sit down for a moment. He glanced at the clock again and realized it was well past Mitchell’s bedtime. “I should have started this earlier,” he thought, feeling a bit guilty. But he knew that the effort he put in now would make the morning smoother.

Just as he was about to head to the living room to check on Mitchell, he heard a small voice calling from the other room. “Uncle Kyle!” Mitchell exclaimed, his sleepy eyes peeking around the corner. Kyle chuckled, knowing that the little boy had probably been waiting for him to read a bedtime story.

“Alright, buddy! Let’s get you ready for bed,” Kyle said, standing up and stretching. He walked over to Mitchell, who was clutching his favorite stuffed animal, ready for their nightly routine.

After reading a story and tucking Mitchell into bed, Kyle finally settled down on the couch, feeling a sense of accomplishment. He had prepared everything for the next day, but more importantly, he had spent quality time with his nephew. As he closed his eyes for a moment, he thought about how rewarding it was to care for Mitchell, even if it meant staying up late.

The next morning, Kyle woke up to the sound of giggles. He rushed to the kitchen, where he found Mitchell already awake and excited about the day ahead. “Milk time!” Mitchell shouted, pointing to the refrigerator. Kyle smiled, knowing that all his late-night preparations had been worth it. Today was going to be another adventure at Shepherd’s Daycare, and he was ready for it.
