Working Buddies
Adam returns from baseball, the day’s victories still dancing in his eyes. The office lobby transforms into Mitchell’s personal playground - a world of possibility between work and naptime.
The playpen becomes Mitchell’s domain. Toys scatter like stars, creating universes only he can see. Adam works nearby, the soft tap of keyboard keys a rhythm to Mitchell’s play. Cookie Monster pampers bright, pacifier bobbing with each burst of imagination.
Blocks become towers. Soft toys become companions. Mitchell creates worlds while Adam creates spreadsheets. Two different kinds of work, but both equally important. The lobby becomes a space of shared purpose - Adam focused on his tasks, Mitchell focused on his play.
Occasional glances. Soft giggles. The kind of companionship that defines the magic of childhood and work. Mitchell’s play slows, the rhythm of the office whispering naptime’s approach.
Lessons learned:
Every space can be a playground
Work and play are both forms of creation
Companionship comes in many forms
Stay curious. Stay playful. Stay Mitchell.
P.S. To all the little explorers out there - your imagination turns every moment into an adventure.
