Dollhouse: Wings, Fries, and Flirtation: Diesel’s Double Order Dilemma
Mitchell's dollhouse serves as a vibrant canvas for his imaginative essays, with each essay reflecting a different scene from his adventures.
Dear Friend,
I hope you’re doing good! I was just thinking about Diesel—the way he looks in that photo, lying back in a cozy chair, eyes half-closed, like he’s drifting off but really his mind is racing. You can almost see him replaying the night at the bar, the buzz of the crowd, the clatter of glasses, and that secret little mission he’s on every week.
See, Diesel goes every week with his buddies to the local bar to “watch the game.” But what his friends don’t know is he’s not really there for the touchdowns or the crazy plays. Nope. Diesel’s got his eyes on two things — the wings and the waitress.
Wings & Waitress
Every time the waitress brings out those crispy wings and fries, Diesel’s like a kid in a candy store. He attacks those wings like they’re the best thing he’s ever tasted — extra crispy, smothered in that secret sauce that makes your mouth burn just right. And the fries? Don’t even get me started. But here’s the kicker — every time she walks by, Diesel’s sneaking glances, trying to look cool but totally failing.
Game? What Game?
While his buddies are yelling at the TV and jumping up for every play, Diesel’s just nodding and saying “Yeah, yeah,” like he knows what’s going on. But really? He’s thinking about when she’ll come back with another basket of wings so he can get another chance to talk to her or maybe make her laugh.
Double Order, Double Trouble
Right in the middle of the game, Diesel calls the waitress over and orders double wings and fries. His buddies are like, “Dude, the game’s almost over!” But Diesel just grins and says, “Can’t waste good food, right?” What they don’t know is he’s just making sure she sticks around a little longer.
Ulterior Motives
The truth is, Diesel couldn’t care less about the game. He’s there for the wings and the waitress — the way she remembers how he likes his food, the way she smiles when he jokes around, and how she always seems to hang out near their table a little longer than necessary. The game is just an excuse so his buddies won’t tease him for being obsessed with food and a girl.
Secret Sauce
Watching Diesel try to act like he’s all about the game but really just waiting for the next wing and the next smile from the waitress is pretty hilarious. Sometimes, people have secret reasons for showing up somewhere — and Diesel’s reasons were tasty and a little bit sweet.
Can’t wait to tell you more stories like this soon!
