Dollhouse: Thaddeus’s Prayer: When the Holy Ghost Moved Through Him

The Holy Ghost, also known as the Holy Spirit, is a central figure in Christian theology. It is considered the third person of the Holy Trinity, alongside God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son. The Holy Ghost is believed to be God's presence and power active in the world and within believers.

In many Christian traditions, the Holy Ghost is seen as a comforter, guide, and source of spiritual strength. It inspires faith, convicts people of sin, helps in understanding scripture, and empowers believers to live according to God's will. The Holy Ghost is often associated with experiences of spiritual renewal, inspiration, and divine guidance.

Mitchell's dollhouse serves as a vibrant canvas for his imaginative essays, with each essay reflecting a different scene from his adventures.

Dear Friend,

I hope you’re doing good! Today, I watched Thaddeus in this cozy little living room, all warm and comfy with a soft lamp glowing nearby and pictures hanging on the walls. Thaddeus was lying back on a big soft couch, but he wasn’t just relaxing—he was thinking hard, like his mind was somewhere else.

Earlier, when he was eating brunch, he was going at it pretty aggressively, like he was on a mission. He was shoveling in creamy grits, cheesy mac and cheese, crispy hashbrowns, and those fluffy pancakes that were soaked in butter—like a whole stick just sitting on top of them—and piled high with whipped cream. The syrup was dripping down the sides, making every bite rich and sweet. It was almost like he was trying to fuel up for something big.

As he ate, his mind was racing with scriptures he’d been thinking about, like he was feeding his soul and his body at the same time. The way he attacked that food showed how serious he was—like every bite mattered, and he was soaking it all in, both the food and the words in his head.

Later, back in the living room, he lay there daydreaming about all that food and those thoughts, and then suddenly, right in the middle of a conversation with his group of friends, he stopped everyone to say a prayer. But it wasn’t just any quick prayer—it was long and powerful, like he was speaking right from his heart and something bigger than himself.

He started by thanking God for the food that nourished their bodies and the fellowship that nourished their spirits. Then, his voice grew stronger and more confident as he began to prophesy over the group. He spoke words of encouragement and hope, telling each of his friends that they were destined for great things, that their struggles would turn into victories, and that they were surrounded by strength and protection.

Thaddeus prayed for courage to face whatever challenges lay ahead, for wisdom to make the right choices, and for peace to calm their restless hearts. He asked for blessings on their families, their dreams, and their paths, reminding them that they were never alone. His words filled the room with a sense of purpose and unity, and everyone listened, some with eyes closed, others nodding quietly.

It was like he was channeling something beyond himself, a deep connection that lifted everyone up. When he finally finished, the room felt different—lighter, warmer, full of hope.

Watching him there, so sincere and full of faith, I was reminded how powerful moments like these can be—when food, friendship, and faith come together to feed both the body and the soul.

I can’t wait to tell you more stories like this soon!
