Ben’s First Day at Shepherd’s Daycare

On a bright and cheerful morning, Ben arrived at Shepherd’s Daycare for his first day as one of the new managers. He felt a mix of excitement and nervousness as he stepped through the colorful doors, ready to meet the children and staff who made this place so special.

As he walked through the halls, Ben admired the vibrant artwork created by the kids and the playful atmosphere that filled the air. He knew that today would be the start of a wonderful journey, and he was eager to make a positive impact on the children’s lives.

After a brief orientation with the staff, Ben was introduced to the various classrooms. He noticed a lively group of toddlers playing in one room, and his heart warmed at the sight of their laughter and joy. He decided to introduce himself to the little ones, wanting to make a good impression.

As he entered the room, he spotted a small boy with bright eyes and a big smile. It was Mitchell, who was busy stacking colorful blocks. Ben approached him with a friendly smile. “Hi there! I’m Ben, and I’m one of the new managers here at Shepherd’s Daycare. What’s your name?”

Mitchell looked up, his face lighting up with excitement. “I’m Mitchell! I like to play with blocks!” he exclaimed, proudly showing off his tower.

“That’s awesome, Mitchell! Building towers is so much fun,” Ben replied, kneeling down to be at eye level with the little boy. “What else do you like to do here?”

Mitchell’s eyes sparkled as he thought for a moment. “I like fart jokes!” he said, giggling at the thought. “They’re so funny!”

Ben couldn’t help but laugh. “Fart jokes, huh? Those are classic! You know, I think I might have a few good ones up my sleeve. Want to hear one?”

Mitchell nodded eagerly, bouncing on his feet. “Yes, please!”

“Okay, here goes,” Ben said, putting on a serious face. “Why shouldn’t you ever fart on an elevator?”

Mitchell shook his head, his anticipation building. “I don’t know! Why?”

“Because it’s wrong on so many levels!” Ben delivered the punchline, and both of them erupted into laughter.

Mitchell clapped his hands in delight. “That was so funny, Ben! Can you tell me more jokes?”

“Absolutely! I’ll make sure to bring some more fart jokes for you every day,” Ben promised, feeling a sense of connection with Mitchell.

As they continued to chat, Ben felt more at ease in his new role. He knew that building relationships with the children was essential, and moments like these would help him create a fun and supportive environment at Shepherd’s Daycare. With laughter and joy in the air, Ben was excited about the adventures that awaited him and the little ones he would be caring for.
