Mitchell “Royel” Abbott - Biography

Mitchell Carlisle Abbott was born December 12, 1992, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Zenda Abbott and Brian Abbott. The family relocated from Kentucky to Ohio before settling in Calabasas, California.

Abbott's education includes attendance at Children's World, Lupin Hill, A.E. Wright Middle School, Agoura High School, and Calabasas High School. He subsequently enrolled at Pierce College for two years and took part-time courses at Arizona State University.

Abbott commenced his entertainment career during middle school, securing representation with The Osbrink Agency and talent manager Judy Landis. His television work includes a guest-starring role as Edgar on Nickelodeon's "iCarly" and a commercial for Disney Channel promoting a karaoke video game featuring Hannah Montana, Camp Rock, and High School Musical. He was selected for a nationwide Sprint Cellular endorsement campaign, filming in New York. Abbott received acting instruction from Kristopher Kyer and Dennis Lavalle.

In tenth grade, Abbott adopted the professional name Mitchell Royel. He independently released his debut single "Crowd Nine," produced by Eric Jackson, with whom he subsequently entered a production agreement.

Following his departure from Pierce College, Abbott signed with Aston Models for editorial modeling representation. He maintained a practice at Malibu Sun Yoga and held memberships at Equinox and SoulCycle. Abbott was employed as an Educator at lululemon athletica, working at multiple Los Angeles locations where he delivered presentations including "The Power of the First Row." During this period, he accumulated one million Twitter followers, produced the web series "Starcrushed by Mitchell Royel," and published "Elixir by Royel" magazine.

Abbott received treatment at Pasadena Recovery Center and BelAir Treatment Center for complications associated with ADHD medications. He has released singles including "Art of War," "Bad Boyfriend," "Purity Ring," and "Slumber Party." His retail employment history includes positions at Abercrombie, Urban Outfitters, and Banana Republic at Westfield Topanga, followed by employment at Erewhon Market in Calabasas.

Abbott is currently developing new music and creative content.
