Small Beginnings, Divine Purpose
Friends,
Welcome to Prism Church LA. To those here in person and those reading online – we’re glad you’re with us.
Churches start small. A living room. A garage. Folding chairs. No budget. Just faith.
That’s us right now.
Jesus didn’t begin with buildings. He began with people. The early church met in homes, sharing meals and prayers. That simplicity had power.
Pastors are just people. Last night I was eating cereal at midnight wondering if I’d prepared enough for today. My girlfriend – well, the girl I’m hoping will be my girlfriend soon (pray for us, guys) – she laughed when she saw my notes scribbled on napkins.
Look around. Young professionals. Students. Seekers. All of us gathered in this too-small space because something greater draws us.
Despite our humble setting, Prism Church LA has been anointed by Christ through leaders we all respect. Not because of me. Because God sees what we can become.
Zechariah asks, “Who dares despise the day of small beginnings?”
That’s our story. Small start. Divine purpose.
The church’s power isn’t in buildings or budgets. It’s in people who reflect God’s light – like a prism.
When you squeeze into someone’s living room next week, remember: you’re participating in something eternal.
Let’s pray.
