Holiday Hello from Samuel
Hi, friends! My name is Samuel and I’m six years old. Christmas is coming soon, and I’ve got lots of fun ideas for us to do together before the big day.
1. Week 1: Decorate Your Home
– Hang up garlands, string up twinkly lights, and put out ornaments.
– If you celebrate Hanukkah, light your menorah candles each night and sing the blessings.
– If you celebrate Kwanzaa, gather with family to share stories about unity and light your kinara.
2. Week 2: Write Your Letter to Santa
– Get out your favorite crayons and stickers.
– Draw pictures of what you love—like pets or toys—and write down what you wish for.
– Fold your letter and slip it in the mailbox. Santa is watching!
3. Week 3: Make Homemade Gifts
– Cut out paper snowflakes or paint a picture for someone you love.
– Craft a simple card or decorate a gift bag.
– If you celebrate Hanukkah, try making paper dreidels or coloring gelt coins.
– If you celebrate Kwanzaa, create a little poster for each of the seven principles.
4. Christmas Eve: Leave Snacks for Santa and His Reindeer
– Put out a glass of milk and a plate of cookies for Santa.
– Don’t forget crunchy carrots and a bowl of water for the reindeer.
I can’t wait to see all the sparkling decorations, read your colorful letters, and hear about your Hanukkah candles and Kwanzaa candles too. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any other special holiday, let’s have fun, share joy, and spread kindness this season!
Happy holidays, everyone!
